Product Review: Salomon Momentum Jacket

Well it looks like the cold weather is finally here, and that means the snow must be around the corner. As we all make final preparations for the ski season it's time to make sure we have the right clothes for the chilly conditions. For that matter if you ride your bike year 'round the right clothes might even be more important.

If you need a new outer layer we might just have the perfect item: The Salomon Momentum Softshell jacket. This jacket is nice and lightweight while still providing mid-level warmth. It offers good wind resistance, but is still pretty breathable. The wrists have excellent cuffs that do a superb job of preventing any cold air or snow getting up your sleeves. The cut is sort of relaxed (it's not a tight race-jacket) but it's not baggy either - a great cut for fitting a couple of layers underneath without feeling too cramped.

At just $150 the Momentum jacket is a very reasonable price, and is money very well spent to keep you comfortable in our cold winter climate.
