If you need to light your way on winter bike rides (or night rides in the summer for that matter) we recommend investing in a good bike-mounted primary light, but it's great to also have a secondary light on your helmet. Alternatively you can wear a light such as the Sigma Headled, pictured above, around your head just below your helmet. It can help light up your route and can also be used to read your watch, your GPS unit, a map, or anything else.
The Sigma Headled has four very bright LED lights and can be pivoted and locked into a variety of positions. What's even better, the headstrap can be removed and washed - a simple but cool extra little feature. It uses 3 AAA batteries, has a good run time (as is the case with any LED lights really) and costs just $35.
