The first official Cross Country Ski Association of Manitoba ski race was to take place on Wednesday, Dec. 2nd, but as you can imagine it was cancelled due to an almost complete lack of snow. There's a little bit of snow in the current forecast so the super-optomistic amoung us think it's possible the 2nd race of the season, scheduled for Dec 9th, could be a go.
Regardless, we know that snow is inevitable and that before long the ski season will start in earnest. If you're new to cross country ski racing in Manitoba your one-stop destination on the internet should be the CCSAM website (click here for their events schedule).
