'Cross season is still months away, but it donned on us today as we rode thru massive puddles, wet snow, lots of sand, and even a little mud as the spring thaw gets into full swing that unofficially it's pretty much 'cross season all year in Winnipeg.So in honour of our very messy ride this morning we're featuring the Cannondale SuperX Rival. The frame takes C'dale's top end Flash carbon layout and applies it to their 'cross frame to give you an absolutely no compromise racing frame that also works as an excellent, albeit high end, general do-almost-anything commuter and fitness machine.
All the standard top end frame spec's are here, like a BB30 bottom bracket, a 1 1/8th to 1 1/4 tapered head tube, sculpted, vibration dampening rear stays, and more. As the name implies, the ever-capable Sram Rival drivetrain is standard issue and does an excellent job of providing problem free shifting in even the worst conditions. Rounding out the set-up are choice parts like the Ksyrium Equipe wheelset and FSA SLK crankset.
For $3800 you can purchase the privilege of taking this beautiful looking bike and making it good and dirty - it's going to be a while before the roads are clean again.
